Bertha Kathryn Tweeten Maricle Olson, better known as Bee, was born August 4, 1907. I was the thirteenth child of the B.J. Tweeten family. It was not an unlucky number for me. I had the best Mother and Father, the best Sisters and Brothers anyone ever had. Always a nice home to grow up in. God gave us parents who taught us about God and Religion, our responsibilities in life. They also helped us in our chosen careers. I chose to be a Registered Nurse and X-Ray Technician. I have worked in many fields of nursing, from School and Camp Nurse for children to Retirement Homes and Private Duty for elderly. I married Arthur Ray Maricle, December 21, 1929, at Ames, Iowa, in a double wedding with my brother Bill. There were 12 years, Bettie and I traveled the West Coast with Ray as often as we could, selling advertising. Before we moved to California, Ray was with Flynn Dairy in Des Moines, Iowa. Ray died of heart failure at the age of 81, April 8, 1979. He is buried with devoted daughter Bettie age 44 in 1978, and Steven, grandson, age 14 in 1973, in Hollywood Forest Lawn Cemetery. Steven died as a result of a mini-bike accident.
After meeting Harold Olson again at 
a School Reunion and remembering the days we “read for the Preacher”, Rev. Quello, we started a new friendship and were married September 30, 1981, at the Little Brown Church. It was a fun day, Alvin and Cecel Tweeten were our attendants, Kay Fraser and Esther Gilsdorf sang. A nice group of friends and relatives were there. We had a happy year and fourth months together, visiting relatives and friends. On January 15, 1983, the coldest day of the year, Harold died of a heart attack shoveling snow. buried in Oakland Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa. I love my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all great and good to “Granny Bee”.
A. Elizabeth (Bettie) Ann Maricle Park was born March 27, 1934, and adopted by Ray and me in Des Moines, Ia. She was a talentd singer. She married Danny Parks in 1954/ They lived in Pasadena amd Arcadia. California, and had four children:
a. John Ray Park was born July 8, 1955 in Pasadena. He married Kim Hoyle in 1974. John was divorced and married Barbara Wojeivadski in 1976. John is service Manage of cars in Covina. Barbar woks in Immperial Savings Bank.
b. Kathryn Clair Park Morales was born Jule 2, 1957 in Pasadena. She married Daniel Morales in 1972. Kathy is Manager of Credit and Collection Agency and Danny is a Merchandise distributor.
c. Bruce Daniel Park was born September 9, 1958, in Arcadia, California. He is a paramedic and on the Arson Squad in San Bernadino. He is single but is engaged to Julie.
d. Steven Michael Park was born October 31, 1959. He died in 1973, as a result of a mini-bike and car accident.
